In order to prepare for modern ball and sandlot play around the nation, the Pels have an interleague match against the Mission Dealers of the Pacific Coast Hardball League. Played during a record setting heatwave in October, both squad played a seesaw battle as the Blue Angels screamed across the skies. The home squad Dealers ultimately took the final frame and won the game in walk-off fashion.
