After a four year hiatus due to the pandemic, a BAVBB ball club returned to San Quentin for baseball. This time we invited our sandlot friends from Austin; the Texas Playboys. In collaboration, the Playboys and Pels created the Cable Car Barnstorm to fundraise for the Pollen Initiative. This inmate founded program equips incarcerated people with multimedia skills — including written, audio, and visual journalism — to share stories that change lives, inform policy and build communities.
