Battle of the Barrel; Game 1: Barbary Coast at Pelicans

Enterprise Brewing presents the third annual Battle of the Barrel between the Coasters and Pels. Each club has claimed a Battle of the Barrel victory over the first two tilts. Historically this tradition has been played as a double header. However, this year the games are split throughout the campaign with the finale to close out the season.
Enterprise Brewing is located in SoMa. Their taproom serves as a welcoming space where locals and visitors gather, forging lasting connections and celebrating the unique bond that unites us all. From traditional yet innovative beers like Pilsner, Lager, Copper Ale, Pale Ale, IPA, and Porter to our homemade non-alcoholic Hop Water, there's something there for everyone to savor.
Barnstorm: Pelicans at San Quentin Giants
Baseball has been at San Quentin since the 1920’s. Since 1994, SQ Baseball has welcomed teams from the outside to play their incarcerated ball club. Of the 6,000 inmates, the SQ baseball club consists of 24 individuals.
The Pels will play modern baseball in this nine inning match. Unfortunately there are no spectators allowed during the match. However, any BAVBB ballists that would be interested in potentially joining our squad as a Pels alternate for this game can reach out through the “Contact Us” page.

Join us on Saturday, June 29th as the Bay Area Vintage Baseball brings the past to life with two authentic vintage baseball games for all to enjoy. It’s sure to be a “Field of Dreams” type experience you won’t want to miss!

Four more years! Our annual Mayor Day celebrates our “Mayor” of Alameda. The Colonels are always near the top of the East Division and tout their cornerstone battery of Mule and Chops.
Railroad Challenge: Pelicans at San Jose Dukes
HARVEY WEST FIELD - SANTA CRUZ
Our first barnstorming regular season match as the Dukes and Pels travel to Santa Cruz. This will be the first ever regular season Association match south of San Jose. The head-to-head mach up last season ended in a Dukes walk-off.

Northern Coast Classic Base Ball Festival
1886 base ball clubs from around the nation convene for the largest vintage base ball festival west of the Mississippi. From the mountains of New York to the shores of Hawaii, ballists will travel to the Golden Gate for a weekend celebration of 1886 base ball. Members from the following ball clubs are scheduled to attend:

Aloha Vintage Base Ball Association: Kalākaua Cup
The Pelicans are honored to be invited to Oahu to celebrate and participate in the opening ceremonies of the inaugural Aloha Vintage Base Ball Association. A.V.B.B.A consists of the Hawaiian Independent Base Ball Club, Aloha Base Ball Club and the Royal Hawaiian Base Ball Club.
The full field of participants will be announced by the A.V.B.B.A later in 2025.
Pels Opening Day: Berkeley Clarions at Pelicans

The reigning league champs and Golden Gate Cup champions march to Golden Gate Park to take on the Pelicans during their home opener at Big Rec. Following two close matches last year, both clubs are ready to take the field and continue the battle on the diamond.

Base ball kicks off for BAVBB as the longest rivalry in the Western Division continues from Golden Gate Park.
Fall Ball
Striker to the line! Have you ever wanted to try vintage base ball? This is your opportunity to the field with other ballists as we play a pick up vintage match. Rules will be explained prior to play and host ball clubs will provide period appropriate gear and equipment. If you are hoping to join a vintage ball club, this is your best chance to meet team captains and express your interest in joining a squad.
Warm-ups begin about an hour before play begins at noon.
Fall Ball
